Sayalay is a Buddhist nun, of the Therevada tradition, ordained at Shwe Oo Min, Myanmar in February 2010.
In 2012 she met Venerable Sayadaw Ottamasara who became her main teacher though she has also received teachings from Sayadaw Monle, Sayadaw U. Tejanyia and Jaya Ashmore.
Since August 2019 she has led the Thabarwa Center in Calabria Italy an open spiritual community commited to providing refuge for all who need it.
