Chi Lin Nunnery

Chi Lin Nunnery was founded in 1934. The founder, Venerable Wei An, originally planned to build a traditional monastery for monks to practice. Later, due to the large influx of domestic immigrants, the society at that time had a very strong demand for welfare services, so it devoted its efforts to Develop welfare services.

In 1957, Chi Lin Nunnery opened a non-government funded, non-profit nursing home to house the helpless elderly. With the changes in society, our elderly care services have also developed from simple self-sufficiency to diversified comprehensive services.
