Initially practicing at the Buddhist Society for Compassionate Wisdom in Chicago (Seon - Samu Sunim), I then explored various other Zen traditions (Soto & Rinzai). I have always been drawn to the Theravada tradition, utilizing its dhamma talks, sutta resources (ATI), and instruction to support my practice, but have never lived close to a center in the tradition. Due to the commercial and/or secular approach to many centers in my area, I have not been active in a Sangha since moving to California in 2015. Having discovered this resource in November 2025, I am looking to change that.
