Activities and Schedule

The Bear Tree Zen Group meets every Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. During these two hours, they practice Zazen, sitting quietly in deep concentration. In addition to these sittings, several members of Bear Tree practice with Zen teachers from various lineages. They view these weekly gatherings at St. Paul's School as an opportunity to support each other's practice by sitting together. Bear Tree is not involved with any interfaith council, deciding to dedicate their energy to their small community.
Demographics

The group attracts members from Concord and surrounding New Hampshire towns, along with students and some faculty members of St. Paul's School. Members vary in religious background and the Bear Tree Zen group warmly welcomes people of all faiths to join their weekly sittings: no experience is necessary.
