Hi, my name is Filip
I’ve been on the path for around 20 years, although I didn’t realize it until about 10 years ago when I started to learn about the Dharma.
I'm delighted to be here Looking forward to talking with you all.

The practices that I have spent most time with and that have been helpful/effective are:

— Developing Sila, including becoming a vegetarian and stop taking intoxicants, as well as cultivating kind action, skillful speech, and peaceful conduct.

— Samatha/vipassana, calmly observing thoughts and whatever insights that that brings. I first leaned this in a very general way and later Mahasi-style and Ingram-style. I’ve done retreats in Thailand, among them in the lineage of Phra Ajahn Thong Sirimangalo and Mahasi Sayadaw.

— Mahamudra/Dzogchen-inspired direkt paths, primarily with Loch Kelly and his direct approach. This has included mantra usage as well.

— Open approaches, which developed on its own, but also inspired by Adyashanti. This feels intuitive and spontaneous and somehow connected to Sila, kindness and non-duality.

— Light Kasina, which has been very interesting for me even from the very first time. It seems to cultivate very strong concentration.

— Inquiry into the self, as described in different ways by many teachers. Adyashanti is one. I also sat with Ganga Maa in the Arunachala-Ramana Maharishi tradition. This tradition and technique is difficult for me to describe but it has been revealing.
