Our Temple was started in Berkeley almost ninety years ago by Issei (first generation) pioneers from Japan. Our present resident minister is Reverend Hozan Hardiman who served some six and a half years at the Fresno Betsuin after receiving ordination as a Shinshu minister in Kyoto Japan in 1983.
