At the Fort Collins Shambhala Center, we practice and teach mindfulness-awareness meditation. This technique originates directly from the Buddha and has been passed from teacher to student for over 2500 years. Sitting meditation is an integral part of the Shambhala tradition.
Free mindfulness meditation instruction is given at the beginning of each practice session for those who are interested in learning to meditate or for those who want to refresh their meditation technique.
Our center offers public meditation with free instruction, an integrated Shambhala Buddhist curriculum called The Way of Shambhala, a range of community activities, as well as training in advanced contemplative practices. We invite you to explore our diverse programs designed to help people of all traditions discover their innate wisdom, compassion and sense of delight.
