User Profile
Kurukulla Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies a member of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), was established in 1989 by Lama Zopa Rinpoche to provide Dharma teachings and healing retreats for people in the Boston area. In June of 2000 we purchased a building as a home for the Center, located at 68 Magoun Avenue in Medford, MA, USA.
Inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa, and Lama Zopa's mentor, Lama Yeshe, who passed away in 1984, Kurukulla Center aims to be a supportive community of practitioners who study and practice the teachings of Je Tsongkhapa, the 15th century founder of the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. We offer classes in Lam Rim, or the graduated path to enlightenment, Buddhist meditation, Lojong (thought transformation), and the practice of Vajrayana.

In addition to our resident teacher, the Venerable Geshe Tsulga, the center also periodically sponsors guest teachers for special teachings and weekend events. Please check our current schedule or call/email us for more information. We look forward to seeing you at the center.
