Phra Ajahn Sao Kantasilo Mahathera (1861-1941)

Ajahn Sao and his student Ajahn Mun established the Kammatthana tradition. A true forest-dweller, Ajahn Sao left no written records of his teachings. Fortunately for us, another of his students — Phra Ajahn Phut Thaniyo — recorded “Ajahn Sao’s Teaching: A Reminiscence of Phra Ajahn Sao Kantasilo”, which offers us a glimpse of Ajahn Sao’s terse but powerful teaching style.
