My first retreat/introduction to practice was in the Ottawa, Ontario Canada region back in 2013. "Your Life is Your Practice" was the title of that retreat and it was a wonderfully transformative and liberating! I have taken the vows with a forest monk/teacher I met in 2017 in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. I now facilitate a Mindful Recovery weekly Zoom group and am a member of Revovery Dharma, as I have been clean and sober for 37 years and find this a supportive Sangha. My wife and I even started a local face to face group last year.
