I began meditating seriously 12 years ago with the intention of understanding and mastering the mind (having grown up around martial arts, the idea of strength in the mind was central). I joined the Phuket meditation centre and that opened the door to all the Buddhist teachings. I went to Suan Mokh for the 10 day retreat a few years ago and when listening to Guru Viking I learned of Dammarato and his connections to Suan Mokh.
