	Diamond Way Buddhist Center: Ch Chicago IL [email protected]		Diamond Way Buddhist Center Chicago belongs to an international non-profit network of over 600 lay Diamond Way Buddhist centers of the Karma Kagyu Lineage founded by Lama Ole Nydahl and under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje. The center provides a relaxed environment where people are welcome to investigate authentic buddhist teachings and meditations. We always present a basic introduction for newcomers and the meditations are guided in English. Lay practitioners volunteer for all the tasks associated with the running of the center which is held together by idealism and friendship.

	Shambhala Meditation Center of Chicago IL [email protected]		<a href="http://www.shambhala.org/">Shambhala</a> is a vision of an enlightened society that expresses the dignity of human experience and joins spiritual inspiration with practicality. It is also a worldwide network of meditation centers providing instruction, classes, and programs, founded by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, a master of the Shambhala and Tibetan Buddhist meditation traditions, and directed by the Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. There are three Gates to Shambhala -- paths by which we can begin to awaken to this world: Buddhist practice, Shambhala Training, and contemplative arts. Group meditation is held every Sunday from 9AM to Noon, and every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7 to 9PM. Free instruction for beginning meditators is available at these times—please come and join us!
